Since its revival in 1960, the Canadian Annual Review has grown steadily in size, a reflection of the widening dimensions of Canadian public life. This growth has brought problems, particularly in view of rapidly escalating production costs. As a result the publisher and editor have decided, beginning with this volume, to concentrate on politics and public affairs, especialy since life, lesire, and sport in Canada are increasingly covered elsewhere.
