The VOWEL CLUB started when the letters, A, E, I, O, and U wanted to use a special sound when they were alone in a word. They decided on the name of their club at their first meeting. Some of the choices, were TLC (The Letter Club), TCOS (The Club of Five) and others but they all agreed on the word VOWEL (Very Ordinary Words Everyone Loves). They agreed that everyone should love and be loved. Its a long story about how the Y joined the vowel club. It happened shortly after the letters A, E, I, O, and U officially decided on their name and their motto.
