Trials. One word that John knows all too well. Hate is another. Johns parents had never told him this secret, until now; he is a Descendant of Ishmiel. There is something special about him. He is different. When Johns house and family are attacked, he must save his mother from the Dark-Ones, the hateful enemies of the Descendants of Ishmiel. John must do this while trying to understand what it means to be a Descendant of Ishmiel, and all of the complications that accompany it. And the chances of survival are not in his favour.
