A man goes out on a daily jog in the typical 100 degree Houston weather. Two kids are forced to stay outside while their father neglects them. As Philip Richards talks to the kids and finds out where they live, he decides to have a chat with their father. As he approaches the house, their father bursts through the door and runs over Phillip while running for his life. Another man runs over him as well while chasing their father while holding a gun. Phillip soon finds himself trying to protect two kids he does not know while trying not to get shot in the process. Phill was soon intertwined in much more than he ever expected as he found he was protecting the kids, their father, and even himself from people no one wants to be associated with.
