The Eye Witness

This book is about trauma, domestic violence, verbal, physical, and sexual abuse from the perspective of the eye witness. This book will also include citations in brief from other works. These citations continue to be used by clinicians within the field and are current graduate students in counseling field. Additionally, this book demonstrate how the author transitions from a victim to a survivor. As a mental health clinician and a previous chronically mentally ill case manager in the field, I understand domestic violence and trauma dynamics. Apparently, I was not able to help myself from falling into the cycle of abuse. Fortunately, I reached out to my support system such as family and friends. This book focuses on traumatic events as reported by children, women, families, and soldiers. This book will also include stories mainly from females perspectives while explaining the concept of posttraumatic stress disorder.
