The scope covered by this book starts from a historical background revealing some of the dynamics that continue to exist in the minds of people about physicians. Then, the guide details the thinking process that leads to forming a differential diagnosis and how to practice in an outcome based manner. Furthermore, this book provides suggestions on how students should choose their subspecialty and introduces them to basic fundamental concepts about patient satisfaction. There is one overarching spirit prevailing over this guide and that is the universality of ethical principles of practice.
