Tossing Heat

This is a story about a seventeen-year-old kid, who right after graduation from high school, signs a contract with the Boston Red Sox. It recounts his days of turmoil while in the minors and his rise up to the major leagueshis relationship with his fellow players, managers, and his daily thoughts of being released while in the lower minors. The pivotal point is an amazing event that occurred on the pitching mound on a hot night in Florida, which turned his career around and had him heading in the fast lane to the big leagues.
