Jack Billings is a young developer at an IT company in Atlanta, Georgia. He works hard. He enjoys his friends. He loves his family. He seeks success in America, his dream by birthright, despite the depravities of the American culture. Eddie Smith was a failure seeking to leave his past behind. He dreamed of a better life. He wanted to be a good man, but the taint of crime was cloying. It clung to him, attracted him, and made him find his way back to failure. When old friends enter both their lives, the connections that are made will change their world irrevocably. At the intersection of these two lives, we find joy and happiness, pain and heartbreak, anger and thieves.
