New Rise is a story about teenage girl named Nautica, who does nothing but party, drink, and smoke. One day, Nautica decided it was time for a change and new life. She decided to move to New York City with a family member. While living in New York, she becomes homeless and falls head over heels for Cheno, a leader in a gang. Even though Cheno was the leader in a gang, he knew God very well. He taught Nautica about the life of Christ but couldnt teach himself. Nautica wanted Cheno to get out of the gang, but Cheno explained how it wasnt that easy. Nautica and Cheno go through trials, trying to not only keep their relationship but to also keep a roof over their head.
