Arriving in Time for Dinner

Henry and Chiffon are the unlikeliest of friends. He is drawn to plastic flowers and checklists. She wants to save the world and is tolerant of most everyone, except herself. Henry is all about predictability and following a plan. Chiffon is usually late and has trouble holding down a job. Both are flawed in the unseen ways of ordinary people. As fate leads Henry and Chiffon to meet over the counter at Stans Deli, where she has just secured yet another job, they simply tolerate each other at first during their twice-weekly transactions. But as Henry becomes more comfortable with her service and Chiffon becomes more comfortable with his predictable order, they slowly become friends despite their differences. As they grow to respect and understand each other, Chiffon teaches Henry to ride a bike. He, in turn, becomes her sounding board as she struggles to find her way.
