Funky Charlie

Funky Charlie is a fun, direct, witty children’s book about hygiene. Charlies a young growing boy who just likes to get up and go. Bathing and self-care are the last thing running through his mind as he gets ready for school. Charlie mom tries to tell him the importance of: Brushing his teeth, showering, washing his face and the up keeping of his attire. But, like most children he does not listen the on-going speech goes in one ear and out the other a term the older adults use. When he gets home, he tells his mother he has learned his lesson: hygiene is much more important than he realized! From now on, he will be well groomed and dressed in clean clothes— NO more “Funky Charlie.” Charlie’s bad day shows how essential self-care and hygiene are for young adolescents.
