The story about Archie is based on the true story about the friendship between three guinea pigs and a cat. It is written by Gitte, the mother, and illustrated by Oliver, the oldest son in the family. The story is told from a guinea pig’s point of view. It’s a heartwarming story about friendship, loyalty, and the cycle of life. During that beautiful spring day, Archie stayed till sunset. He did hide only when Lucas turned up with our breakfast. And over the day, Archie told us about the fantastic and brave trip that he had made from his garden, out through his back gate, and down through the little forest that forms a sort of fence between our house and the one next to us. He told us how he walked past another house, but there was nobody home. So he kept going until he got to the hole in the stone wall. The hole in our stone wall!
