The Green Door

The year was 1985. Rosemarie Mattson was ten years old and her parents offered the next door neighbors a place to stay. The country house, a summer home close to her grandparents, became a perilous place where adult supervision lacked. But then she met Victor Frank, an outsider, and a fateful kinship was formed. Years later, she’s grown up, and leaves the past behind for a dream of owning her own bakery and a fairytale romance. The ink still fresh on the marriage certificate, Rosemarie’s husband’s mask comes off behind closed doors. Soon, she finds herself isolated in her own home from friends and family. She begins to forget things, questioning her reality. When her husband leaves her shortly after her bakery goes bankrupt, Rosemarie is forced to move back to the country house. Then Victor returns. Summer evenings bring back tender days gone by and a friend who is closer than a lover. But then the voices begin, whispering her darkest fear…the wrong is inside of her.
