A Most Important Lesson The Big Cats’ Deal is a story about what extreme circumstances can do to bring characters together, despite their differences. When a yearlong drought threatens the survival of the African savannah’s wildlife, the lions, leopards and cheetahs, traditional enemies, band together to search for food and water. But because the region’s animals have long moved on, no food can be found. That is, however, until the cats discover a pack of hyenas with a stash of meat inside an abandoned truck in the wilderness. What follows is a wonderful example of cooperation and mutual respect. In this delightful story, children learn not to pre-judge or make fun of others, and instead learn to work together to achieve a common goal.
