Stringbean Porkchop and Lil Mighty is the first in a series of stories about three kids—seven, eight, and nine years old—growing up in Sacramento, California, in 1983. Kids just being good kids. Innocence is starting to grow up, and so is the crew. The skills, family values, and teachings of being true to yourself, family, friends, and others will come into play in some critical moments, helping Ms. Harper and Mr. Lewis and stretching the imagination.
