In Search of the Rabbit Man

1968 was a time of loss and discovery, of finding new identities, new strengths, and new voices. As In Search of the Rabbit Man author Jon-Michael Hamilton notes, “This is a story of how people overcome disappointment and loss. It also shows how rumors or myths and social events can dictate and influence human behavior.” The story opens in Dallas, Texas, one week after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, when people are trying to recover and not revolt. A badly decomposed body is found in a new and quiet neighborhood and the citizens are trying hard to overcome the implications. One small kid goes on a quest to resolve the issues and find the answers in how the past has affected the present and his community’s future.
