When Marc Brown first moves to Cedar Knob, Arkansas, he hopes to find relief from the memories of his pas abuse and drunkenness and the fire that killed his mom. But uncomfortable memories start to resurface when a mysterious creature from Marcs childhood reappears on the very day Maylee Kunchai from Thailand arrives in Cedar Knob.
