The principal called my parents informing them about some disruptive playground behavior. I was entertaining myself by kissing my fingers; stretching my arm out and chasing boys with girl germs.
I enjoyed their looks of horror and that had power to make them run! Isn’t it interesting that youth have a desire for sexual purity? They cringe at the thought of germs from the opposite sex. We don’t have to teach them purity.
We can combat media that perpetuates the belief that a kiss will miraculously heal the body and innermost being. The beast doesn’t become a charming man. The frog doesn’t become a prince.
I have written a book to help dispel the myth. It is written for grade schoolers because that is the age media aims the myths. Join me in the battle for the mind!

Spoiler alert: Star doesn't kiss anyone. After hearing the stories of her parents and grandparents she decides to wait a long time. Until she might marry the person.
