The Rapids

Four teenage friends find the unexpected when they canoe down the channel toward the mouth of Lake Hubbi. Risk and mystery seem to follow them like a stalking shadow which puts them in experiences of possibility and uncertainty. Ella, Selah, Kip, and Aiden find their strengths and have their fears revealed along the banks of the waters edge.

“Aiden,” she whispered. “Did you see anything go behind the willow tree? I mean, did you notice anything? I think someone is watching us from up there.” Aiden caught the anxiousness in Ella’s voice and leaned over the side of the boat shading his eyes to see the willow tree.
