Pockets Summary Pockets is the eighth book Mrs. Beckley has written for Xlibris. It tells the story of a fourth-grade boy named Austin OBrian, who was misdiagnosed as a mentally retarded child and then having a slight case of autism. It also tells the story of a stray dog Pockets, who gives birth to her puppies on the OBrian back porch during Christmas vacation.
