In the National Interest is a book about the necessity of extending the key interests of the USA to cover area beyond that historically understood and to cover the actions of the president and the CIA to set up and outsource the mechanics required to assure appropriate and efficient response to threats to our industrial-economic base. This is accomplished using a fictional operation of a US company that is already protecting their interests worldwide from such terrorist threats. All in all, our heroes tackle terrorist kidnappings and other issues to decidedly define both the need and their actions without subjecting the government to undue press and the like.
