This story took place about the time of the Second World War toward the end. This German fellow and his family lived about eight miles inland along a lake. The lake had good fishing. His neighbors noticed that he was leaving small bomb-shaped devices along their shared border. He was trying to scare the Indians out of the country. Instead, his native neighbors went to the RCMP. The German fellow was not a Canadian citizen. That was why he was hiding out in the bush. He was living with a Dn woman, pregnant with her second child. The RCMP made him and his family move out. They had two teams of dogs. The RCMP made the woman walk in three feet of snow for fifty miles. Every time she fell, the RCMP kicked her to get back up. She miscarried. She still walked all the way to their new destination. Nothing was ever mentioned about it.
